With this and the new intake, the 1er will really sound great! I'd love to hear some sound clips if you ever get some.

With the intake it sounds like it has a 4 barrel on it. You get a modest, but still very noticeable intake noise at lower rpm. Then when you approach 3,500 the damn thing comes alive with a ROAR it's rather lovely. The new muffler will only further my fuel economy's decline...

Induction noise is great on the straight sixes, I can only imagine with the AFE.

Watching educational video:
"Generally, to help fuel economy and reduce engine wear, shifting at or before 3,500 RPM is common practice."
"Hey, I downshift at 3,500 anyways! Otherwise the ROAR goes away!"

But I totally get what you mean, there's a throatiness that is definitely addictive.
